ArcelorMittal Long Carbon is one of Brazil’s biggest producers of long and drawn steel products, which specializes in the production of wire rod for general use and industrial applications, rolled products for construction and drawn products. In Brazil, the current production capacity is about of 3.9 million tons of crude steel per year.

ArcelorMittal Long Carbon operations are distributed into four plants in the state of Minas Gerais (Juiz de Fora, João Monlevade, Sabará and Itaúna), two in São Paulo (one in the capital city and another in Piracicaba) and one in Espírito Santo (Cariacica).

In partnership with Bekaert Group, the company is South American leader in the production of wires for the industry and agriculture & cattle farming, with an installed capacity in excess of 800 thousand tons per year, being among the three main worldwide manufacturers of wire rod for use as tire reinforcing steel cords.
