Aperam is a global producer of stainless steels, specialty electrical steels and nickel alloys, with 9,600 employees and trading in more than 30 countries. It keeps about 30 sales offices with customer support around the world and 19 Service Centers, including ten plants and transformation facilities. The business is organized into three divisions:

- Stainless & Electrical Steels
- Services & Solutions
- Alloys & Specialties

Aperam has a production capacity of 2.5 million tons of stainless steel slabs in Europe; in Brazil it is leader in high added value niches – alloys and specialties. It has a highly integrated distribution, processing and services network as well as a unique capacity to produce stainless and specialty steels by using biomass (charcoal) in a competitive manner. Its industrial network, with six plants, is concentrated in Brazil, Belgium and France.

Aperam South America
A Aperam South America is part of the Aperam Group. The Company is an integrated producer of flat stainless and electrical steels. It also produces flat carbon-alloyed steel. Its plant is located in Timoteo, state of Minas Gerais. Roads and railways connect the plant with the main steel consumer centers in Latin America and with export points. The headquarters is located in Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais, and the company also keeps a commercial office in São Paulo, associated to a distribution network and service centers throughout Brazil.

Aperam BioEnergia
Aperam BioEnergia manages an asset of renewable forests in the Jequitinhonha Valley, also in the state of Minas Gerais. The more than 400 tons of charcoal produced per year supply the Blast Furnaces of Aperam South America, in Timoteo. Advanced technologies, used from planting to carbonization, show the uniqueness of the Company, which always seeks the best environmental practices. At planting, the use of eucalyptus clones ensures production of high-performance material. Harvesting, timber transportation, loading and unloading of kilns, among other stages of production and carbonization, are fully mechanized, using the most modern equipment in the forestry sector.
