ArcelorMittal Tubarão, opened in 1983, is an internationally renowned steelmaker, specialized in high-quality steels, used in the manufacture of products present in the daily fives of millions of people. Today, the Company is the world leader in the manufacture of semi-finished steel products – hot-rolled coils and sheets, with a production capacity of 7.5 Mty.

Strategically located in the metropolitan region of the Great Vitória, in the State of Espírito Santo, the Company has a complete infrastructure, which grants it privileged conditions both for production and for easy supply of its clients in Brazil and abroad. In supplying the market, ArcelorMittal Tubarão has an excellent port complex, which includes the Praia Mole Steel Products Terminal, just 8 km from the plant, the Maritime Barges Terminal and a well-equipped railway network.

Since its privatization in 1992, the Company has invested more than US$ 3 billion in technological updating, production expansion and enrichment of the product mix. Over this time, the Company had some changes in its shareholders’ composition, until becoming part of ArcelorMittal, one of the largest steelmaking conglomerates in the world.
