ArcelorMittal Aços Longos (current name of former Belgo) is one of the largest Brazilian producers of long steel and drawn products, with a distinguished role in the fields of Steelmaking and Drawn Products. The company has an installed capacity of 6.5 Mty of rolled products and 1.55 Mty of drawn products. It is the leading company in the production of wire rod and commercial and industrial wires.

Operating in country since 1921, the company controls a group of steel mills and drawing plants in Brazil (Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Espírito Santo and Bahia), Argentina (Acindar), Costa Rica (ArcelorMittal Costa Rica) and Trinidad y Tobago (ArcelorMittal Point Lisas).

It is the South American leader in the production of wire for industrial and agricultural applications, and one of the three largest producers of wire rod for steel cord, a product use to reinforce tires.

In Argentina, Acindar has a production capacity of 1.7 Mty of rolled products (wire rod, bars and shapes) and 180,000 t/y of drawn products. Its main plant, located in Villa Constitución, in the Santa Fé province, is a direct reduction integrated mill (RDI-MIDREX).
