ArcelorMittal, established in 2006 following the merger of Mittal Steel and Arcelor, is the world’s largest steelmaker, with nearly 300,000 employees in 61 countries and an output of 103.3 Mt of steel in 2008, approximately 10% of the world’s total output. In the same year, the company’s sales revenues reached US$ 124.9 billion.
With its diversified profile, the company is active in the fields of flat, long and stainless steel products, and is the leader in the world’s main markets, including automotive, construction, household appliances and packagings.
