Event

Changes in the global economic scenario and domestic consumption perspectives will be the core themes for debate at the 22nd Brazilian Steel Conference, organized by the Brazil Steel Institute, between June 01-03, 2011, at Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo.

Government representatives, managers of Brazilian and foreign steel companies, as well as specialists in various steel-related subjects will attend the debates.

The last edition counted with the presence of President Lula, together with several authorities and approximately 800 congress participants, at the opening ceremony of the event and of ExpoSteel and of the Steelville. Besides attending presentations given by Brazilian and foreign lecturers, congress participants had contact with steel and mining companies, and suppliers of equipment, services and technological innovation to the steel production chain.

The event was sponsored by the following companies: ArcelorMittal, Caixa, CSN, Gerdau, Usiminas, Vale, Votorantim Siderurgia, V&M do BRASIL, Sinobras, Techint, ThyssenKrupp CSA, White Martins, CNI, Harsco Metals, Transpetro, Villares Metals and Siemens.

ExpoSteel 2011, a trade show with approximately 3,700 m² of constructed area, will take place simultaneously to the Conference. Steel and mining companies, suppliers of equipment, services and technological innovation to the steel production chain will be present. Besides conference participants, exhibitors will receive visitors, who will enjoy free access to the fair.
